Basta vocà instalar o devfsd, teoricamente. Mas o ideal à sair do devfs e usar udev com kernel 2.6 =).
E aprender a usar o udev, principalmente as configuraÃÃes, para nÃo ter surpresas desagradaveis.
Pena que o Debian nÃo suporta isso 'oficialmente', ai quem sofre sÃo os usuÃrios...

MM: A large number of changes have to be made to the init scripts for good udev integration. This is something for the next release after Sarge.
