Desabilitando o vga=XXX voce acabou de fazer isto.

Sem esse par�metro as letras ficam imensas sim, mas n�o d� mais nehum
alerta (n�o confunda alertas com erros, alertas avisam que pode dar um
erro ou que est� com problema de configura��o, erro � o resultado de
algo feito que n�o d� aviso pr�vio ou qualquer coisa, simplesmente n�o
funciona ou funciona mal)

Sem o VGA=XXX n�o h� como fazer suas letras diminuirem.
