Linux também é "unix-like", apenas não é certificado sob a "Single Unix Specification" (Especificação Única Unix). Os BSDs não são certificados também. O motivo para a não certificação são os custos, que ficam muito elevados por causa da rápida evolução destes sistemas, pois cada nova versão tem que ser certificada novamente.
