Passo por isso constantemente com o cups, pois utilizo a SID +
Experimental.

3- Verifique a versão do cups-driver-gutenprint e de todos os
gutenprint. Se a versão do cups e do gutenprint estiverem divergentes, o
problema que vc está relatando irá ocorrer.
Caso vc não encontre o arquivo cups-driver-gutenprint com a
mesma versão dos gutenprint, use o cupsys-driver-gutenprint
Feito isso, o cups volta a funcionar.
