Hallo,

if you write
conn vpn
       left=%defaultroute
, you have to set
config setup
      interfaces=%defaultroute

But you must have a defaultroute
>netstat -nr
check this.
If you haven't a defaultroute, you ca set it with
> route add default gw IP-Addressofgateway
