Vários métodos foram dados nessa thread mesmo, e o DD realmente é o ultimo
deles. Use o tar, rsync, cp, etc etc e faça de novo.
Eu gosto desse tópico que tinha no FAQ Debian antigo:
Q: Is there anyway to convert a ext2 filesystem to reiserfs w/o loosing data?
A: back up the data, make the new fs, restore the data
