Vixe... Provavelmente faltou compilar o suporte a "alguma coisa" no seu kernel. Só que minha bola de cristal está quebrada e não tive como descobrir que tipo de erro está dando no seu Gnome... Formule melhor sua pergunta, senão fica difícil ajudar.
