 Se apenas foi acrescentada essa linha, pelo que sei,
 
        $IPTABLES -A INPUT -i eth0 -p $PROTO --dport 21 -j LOG --log-prefix " 
Msg no log ".

 'Msg no log' para facilitar a leitura.
