Yo tengo un multifución brother DCP-110C de cartuchos independientes, aunque figura que no esta soportado por linux, en su página web tienen drivers para debian y funciona perfectamente. Sólo cuesta 99 euros y en los 3 meses que la tengo ningun problema.
