Yo, en cambio, en Sarge, no he visto actualizaciones ni de la imagen ni de los fuentes, si bien en uno de los mails me dijeron que el equipo de debian esta trabajando en las actualizaciones de Sarge (que por estadisticas te daras cuenta que nunca tardaron tanto en patchear un paquete que en general les toma unos dias como mucho). Estoy hace como 3 bugs mirando (cada vez que salia algo para la rama 2.6) si la imagen o los fuentes se actualizaban y nunca vi movimiento alguno. De ahi que decidi "moverme" a averiguar que pasaba con eso, por si habia alguna otra forma para actualizar el kernel y que no era igual a la de los demas paquetes. > perdona pero actualizado le llamas a "la ultima version" o "con los > parches de seguridad que corresponden"? Puede que a ambas cosas, depende del momento... en este momento la ultima es la 2.6.12 (cuando en kernel.org ya esta la 2.6.13 como ultima estable) con todos los parches correspondientes. Respuesta de Horms <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: Sarge is now released, and as such updates only take two form - security updates which are done as the need arises, and release updates, which occur once or twice a year. The Kernel Team is working on making sure the kernel does get updated in Sarge. However, in answer to your question, yes it is out of date, and to be honest that is the nature of a stable release. If you want something fresher try unstable or stable, and the packages provided by linux-2.6, currently linux-source-2.6.12, but soon to be linux-source-2.6.13.
