Deberas tenerlo en tu distribucin,
$ dpkg -s xserver-fbdev
Package: xserver-fbdev
Status: install ok installed
Installed-Size: 1944
Maintainer: Branden Robinson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Source: xfree86-1
Version: 3.3.5-1
Provides: xserver
Depends: xserver-common (>= 3.3.5), makedev (>= 1.6-8), libc6, zlib1g (>=
1:1.1.3)
Description: X server for framebuffer-based graphics drivers
xserver-fbdev is an X server that uses the kernel-based framebuffer device
driver for display.
.
To use this server, you must have a kernel that supports the framebuffer
console device. For the Alpha and i386 architectures, this capability is
absent from the 2.0 (and earlier) kernel series. Users of these
architectures must use version 2.2 or later of the Linux kernel to employ
this X server.
Respecto a la instalacin, debers recompilar el kernel para que soporte FB,
adems de "tocar" la configuracin de las X. Mira la seccin "Screen" que
tengo yo:

Driver "fbdev"

EndSubsection
EndSection
