Hola,
para tener soporte para fuentes true type, segu� las instrucciones del
documento "Font Deuglification mini HOWTO" y afines. En woody instal� el
paquete msttcorefonts que es un instalador de las fuentes true type de
Micro$oft. Efectivamente las descomprimi� e instal� en
/usr/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType creando los correspondientes fonts.dir y
fonts.scale.
En el XF86Config (uso las X 4 de Woody) tengo en la secci�n "Files":
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType"
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1"
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo"
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc/:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc"
# FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/cyrillic"
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi"
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi"
y en la secci�n "Module" entre otros tengo:
Load "freetype"
Load "speedo"
Load "type1"
cuando arranco el gdm empieza a parpadear y nada. He mirado el log y no
veo ning�n mensaje de error. La �nica forma de arrancarlo es comentar la
l�nea que dice:
FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType"
