He llegado a la conclusi�n de que el parted, aun con dicha librer�a s�lo
SOPORTA el reisefs, como ya ha contestado druida.
Lo �nico que me hace dudar ahora es el siguiente p�rrafo extraido del manual
de parted:
Command: resize minor start end
Resizes the partition with number minor. The partition will start start
from the beginning of the disk, and end end from the beginning of the disk.
resize never changes the minor number. Extended partitions can be resized,
so long as the new extended partition completely contains all logical
partitions.
Note that Parted does not require a file system to be "defragged"
(Parted can safely move data around if necessary). It's a waste of time
defragging. Don't bother!
Supported file systems:
* ext2, ext3 - restriction: the new start must be the same as the
old start.
* fat16, fat32
* linux-swap
* reiserfs (if libreiserfs is installed)
Example:
(parted) resize 3 200 850
Resize partition 3, so that it begins 200 megabytes and ends 850 megabytes
from the beginning of the disk.
Es decir, habla del comando "resize", y al enumerar los sistemas de
ficheros soportados incluye tambi�n el reisefs, a condici�n de instalar la
librer�a, cosa que ya hice. �Me estoy equivocando o lo que se puede
interpretar del manual es que el comando resize soporta el tipo de ficheros
reisefs y, por lo tanto, deber�a poder redimensionarse? Es que yo entiendo
eso, y me lleva a pensar que tal vez no tenga la libreria adecuada
instalada.
En cuanto a lo de "resize_reisefs" �es un programa? voy a investigarlo.

No he usado el parted,pero con resize_reiserfs puedes cambiar el tama�o de
una partici�n, eso si no es automatico, (lee el manual)
En resumen si quieres reducir:
Primero cambias el tama�o del sistema de ficheros (que queda puesto al
princio de la partici�n y segundo con fdisk (o cfdisk o lo que sea)
cambias el tama�o de las particiones.
Si quieres ampliar:
Primero amplias la particion con fdisk y despues el sistema de ficheros
con resize_reiserfs.
Eso si no mueve de sitio las particiones ni junta espacios liberados de
distintas particiones y ademas es algo lioso conseguir ajustar el tam�o
en Mbytes del resize_reiserfs al de sectores de fdisk
