Tengo la misma tarjeta que tu, y hace tiempo me puse a enredar para habilitar directamente el midi.
Primero tienes que tener dos modulos cargados del kernel, uno el t�pico controlador compatible con sound blaster y luego el espec�fico para awe de creative que no se como se llama. Posteriormente instalate estos paquetes y sigue la ayuda: awe-drv - Linux AWE32 driver source and utilities awe-midi - Linux AWE32 driver MIDI player Mucha suerte y ya contar�s si todo fue bien.
