No es posible que despu�s de tantas instalaciones repetidas, siguiendo paso
a paso todas las instrucciones de www.nvidia.com y de haber instalado los
headers del kernel bf2.4 (tengo el Woody bf2.4) y de tener bajados del
www.nvidia.com los �ltimos drivers (1.0.4191) en el /usr/src y de haber
corrido el make install para los headers, al ejecutar el make install del
kernel me aparezca un error y que despu�s de eso se instalen aparentemente
los drivers con el make install del glx, pero luego al correr el startx se
caiga el server X que no levanta por ese problema, aunque ve los drivers
nvidia y los preinstala, pero despu�s se cae diciendo algo as� como "hay
screen, pero no es posible correrlo con esta configuraci�n"... Y en el
XF86Config 4 est� comentado el dry y est� descomentado el glx, o sea que
todo como debe ser... Y una y otra vez, intento pero todfo queda en la
nada... Y ejjecuto modprobe pero no hay m�dulos nvidia por ning�n lado, ni
los veo en el modulos.conf ni en ning�n lado... Alguien puede explicarme qu�
pasa??? Esto es demasiado complicado para tratarse de una computadora... ni
que tuviera que reparar en vuelo el Columbia... En esto Debian es algo
exasperante... aunque lo prefiero a Red Hat.... :))
Les pego el log del XFree86config 4 a ver si alguien ve algo que ayude...

the full server output, not just the last messages.
This can be found in the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log".
