Yesterday, i have resized my debian partition with partition magic from
windows.
After that, i was not able to boot from that debian partition - what happens
is that
it displays "GRUB" and the system halts.

So i made a netinstall cd (ca.180MB http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/) and
tried a
"rescue root=/dev/hda2" , but it says it can not find a kernel called
rescue.

Then i tried a "linux26 root=/dev/hda2" , and it says "unable to mount root
fs on unknown-block(0,0)".

So, how can i restore my system?

I don't knw GRUB but in the same situation with lilo I install from an iso-image until the point where it wants to partition the disk. At this point change to a caonsole (ALT-CTL-F2), mount the disk in question on /target, chroot /target and then lilo, CTRL-D umount /target and reboot.
