I plan to re-compile the kernel soon. I read an earlier letter from this
group, where someone ran into some compile problems:

I plan to install the 'binutils' package, in order to avoid the compile
errors the other user experienced. After I do this Should I re-install
'source-1.2.11-1.deb', which I picked up on July 18 ?

I ask this because Bruce mentions "...install it before installing the
source package."

Thanks,

Barry Masterson
