The hard disk method had a whole pile of bugs because I'd never tested the case where you ask it to mount the partition for you. It seems to work for me now.
Unless you need this, or want to use the --root option, you don't need to upgrade. dpkg (0.93.70) BETA; priority=MEDIUM * dselect unmounted harddisk method has many silly bugs fixed. * dpkg --root option restored (was removed by mistake in 0.93.68). * minor cosmetic change to dselect subprocess failure message. -- Ian Jackson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Wed, 9 Aug 1995 22:18:55 +0100 55430ccca1ed3ac13d8275f7744318e5 dpkg-0.93.70.deb 896a2e257334d65428bdcae1c8184850 dpkg-0.93.70.nondebbin.tar.gz 3406a59f0f04e081b82e6f3b70f3d995 dpkg-0.93.70.tar.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 166549 Aug 10 02:28 dpkg-0.93.70.deb -rw-rw-r-- 1 root ian 164140 Aug 10 02:27 dpkg-0.93.70.nondebbin.tar.gz -rw-rw-r-- 1 ian ian 253096 Aug 10 02:15 dpkg-0.93.70.tar.gz
