[not important to my point] That reminds me. What is the current point of view with respect to /etc/init.d/functions? Sourcing it seems to break several of the /etc/init.d scripts, as it seems to destroy the setting of $1 (which should be start or stop) while figuring out the runlevel. Or have I just managed to get a broken version installed? Anyway, commenting it out helped in every case. MfG Kai
