Are these conflicts in the current packages? I removed everything that seemed to be related to TeX from my system and used dselect to install just latex. Installed like a charm, but here's what I get when trying to process a document: ~/prj/verspohl$ latex bioassay This is TeX, Version 3.1415 (C version 6.1) I can't find the default format file! ~/prj/verspohl$ I suspect I overlooked something vital, but I'm out of ideas. -- Siggy
