RTFM:

       -D device, --device device
              Sets the device name for the CD writer.  The device
              argument  must  refer to a generic SCSI device name
              (typically  starting  with  /dev/sg).   Default  is
              /dev/cdwriter,  which  is  assumed to be a symbolic
              link to the appropriate standard device name.

Does /dev/scd0 start with /dev/sg?  Didn't think so.
