I've installed the 2.7.3 version of Hinds' Card Services. I got the package from some Sunsite mirror. Of course, it is not a Debian package -- it would be nice to have one !!! I checked that make install just puts rc.pcmcia in /etc/rc.d, but there is no "rc.pcmcia start" command ready in any of the Debian boot scripts. In fact, I need to do it by hand. AM
