crashme is more like a OS check, then hardware check. Run: dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/null a few(>10) times, this whil cause heavy io and seek activity. If you additionally compile a kernel then your system will be strechted. In additon you can run a few "tail /dev/zero" to make your system page like mad.
