The tool set required looks more like:
route
ifconfig
setserial
pppd
dip
*ftp
Add to this:
Auto-configure serial lines, modems, and ethernet cards.
Menu interface to get your net connection going.
That's all planned, but I am holding it off until I can get the basic
installation system working to my satisfaction. That means you may not
see it until 1.2 . I had a problem the other day in that I added ncurses-bin
to the base floppies, and then the base system would not fit in 3 1.44MB
floppies until I removed the network stuff. I think I'd better put the
network stuff back in and pull out ncurses-bin .
