I kept around a "package" built for the 0.93r6 default kernel, I just keep that on a floppy so when I reinstall from those, I just do dpkg install the pcmcia stuff, and then another package for my custom configuration files, and suck everything else over the net.
It'll be harder for the 1.1 floppies (unless the source kernel package matches the kernel they use [they didn't last time I tried] -- in which case it's easier to build on another system.) Once 1.1 is stable, building a pcmcia kit that matches the kernel it has should be easy...
