I did this, too, and it worked for what I needed it for. But I did find this library eventually -- of course I don't recall where. You want the one I have, I'll mail it to you. Depending on how things are compiled, the distribution shouldn't need this library, but many outside programs do use it, and linking the ncurses library to it seems to be a kludge. -- David L.
