Hi, the Tor project is trying to deprecate Tor versions from the 0.2.0.x tree[1], and we currently ship 0.2.0.35 in lenny[2].
Some of the issues in the upstream 0.2.0.35 are dealt with in our package (e.g. we ship an updated list of authority keys[3]). However, newer versions have significant performance benefits. For users it means if they get a newer version their Tor will be faster, but more importantly it means that if all the Tor relays that are currently running Debian lenny upgrade their Tor the network should become better for everyone using it. So, should and may I upload a newer Tor version to volatile?
