s/software/programs/, please; DFSG #2 specifically says "programs". If we want it to say "software" instead, that will require a vote. However, we had that discussion in the lead-up to the etch release, and I rescinded a proposal that would have said firmware are not programs for the purpose of the DFSG in response to overwhelming opposition.
