Full disclosure: my part-time employer supports me in my Debian endeavors, and some of my packaging work is paid for as well. Overall 100% of my income comes from Debian related work, and sure I use a lot of my personal free time for Debian too, but for the most part I enjoy it and it's a better way to spend free time than to lay around and watch TV or play games all day. I'd encourage anyone to make a living from working on what you care about, it's great! But that's a very different kettle of fish than expecting Debian itself to pay you for a role. > Anyway, a good counter example is the LTS effort. Well, Debian LTS *is* part of Debian, at least according to the Debian LTS team, unless there's something else you're alluding to? -Jonathan -- ⢀⣴⠾⠻⢶⣦⠀ Jonathan Carter (highvoltage) <jcc> ⣾⠁⢠⠒⠀⣿⡁ Debian Developer - https://wiki.debian.org/highvoltage ⢿⡄⠘⠷⠚⠋ https://debian.org | https://jonathancarter.org ⠈⠳⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀ Be Bold.
