While the choices could be better and clearer, it is not true that there would be only two when you start looking at the "set of constraints". Some examples: Options E and F would create a right to not disclose AI usage, which is a non-starter for me. Requiring disclosure of AI usage would be a different ballot option. Option G bans generative AI in direct contributions to Debian, but permits other AI usage like AI agents in Debian infrastructure.
