Subject: ITP: reginacalc -- Regina, the 3-manifold normal surface theory
 calculator
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII
Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

I intend to package Regina.

Package: reginacalc
License: GPL
URL: http://regina.sourceforge.net/, though this is out of date and there
will be significant changes for the 2.2 release which is what will
actually be packaged for debian (I'm the upstream author).

Regina is a topological calculator with a bent towards normal surface
theory. It allows 3-manifolds to be created, manipulated and their
 properties of interest determined.

Highlights of Regina include triangulation analysis and simplification,
census creation and normal surface calculation. It offers embedded
Jython scripting giving full access to the calculation engine.
