I appreciate that fuppes is a good alternative to ushare, but this ITP is for ushare and fuppes is out of scope for this ITP. I'd like to see a package for fuppes, since transcoding is a useful feature (especially since many devices don't support media types such as Matroska, which can be easily container-converted to another format so as to be played without quality loss). I'll try and finish up packaging for ushare soon and get it into unstable.
