With posixovl it is possible to mount fat, vfat, ntfs filesystem so that they behave like POSIX. The file permissions, links etc. are supported transparently. An extra file contains the informationa and the filesystem itself stays unmodified. Typical use: Mount USB FAT32 drive with posixovl and your files retain their permission settings.
