FYI, currently only __init__.py file is covered by GPL-2+ license.
I've asked upstream[1] to provide a full license coverage for the source tree, maybe keeping the use of GPL-2+ for all the files in the package.
I really hope to get some response soon, since the debian packaging is ready for the upload.
