Shouldn't be needed, we have ca-certificates. So far patching (or simply using the patched debian packages like liblwp-protocol-https-perl) was enough: http://patch-tracker.debian.org/patch/series/view/liblwp-protocol-https-perl/6.03-1/cert.patch If you tell us why you think you need this package we might be able to help with finding a solution.
