Package: wnpp Version: N/A Severity: wishlist libgsf aims to provide an efficient extensible I/O abstraction for dealing with different structured file formats (currently: MS OLE, gzip, stdio, mmap, buffer; planned: zip, bonobo stream/storage, gnome-vfs and others).
It is intended to replace libole2 eventually. As such, the GNOME2 port of Gnumeric (the 1.1.x development branch) is in the process of being converted to use it.
