It's a useful framework to build robotics components. - is it a dependency for another package? Another packages in the orocos toolbox. You cannot have the complete orocos toolbox if you don't have it. - do you use it? Yes, we use it at the lab where I work. - if there are other packages providing similar functionality, how does it compare? ROS is another framework, and it's also in the todo list. - how do you plan to maintain it? inside a packaging team? Inside debian-science team.
