Lua 5.3 is already packaged here git.debian.org/git/pkg-lua/lua5.3.git Due to lack of time, I did not test it properly and upload it. In particular it versions symbols, something the release team asked me to do for a long time to make the coexistence of many Lua versions less painful. It is a completely new thing for me, hence I want to be cautious.
