you might not be aware of it, but xfe 0.54 needs the latest stable FOX release 1.0.36 (at least according to the changelog). You have to wait until Torsten updates the package (hint ;) For personal use I have switched to my own compiled FOX versions which are located at my repository described at http://people.debian.org/~calvin/ When I have time, I will upload the newest xfe to my own repository (current is xfe-0.42).
