As far as I can see, it's still an RFP. There is a debian packaging guide at https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/maint-guide/index.en.html There is also a #debian-mentors channel on OFTC . See oftc.net I am not aware if somebody made an attempt and even if they did it probably doesn't gel with the ways things are. I filed the bug in 2014, somebody shared in 2016 and now we are in 2018. Almost everything has changed between then and now. When I had asked, it was a baby as in notepadqq 0.20 and now it's matured at 1.4 . Both the build-dependencies and runtime-dependencies are in Debian. https://github.com/notepadqq/notepadqq/blob/master/README.md If you do the packaging then Debian, debian-derivatives and even Ubuntu benefits from it as it's a downstream distribution. There is possibility that whoever is running the Ubuntu officialrepo. i.e. https://launchpad.net/~notepadqq-team/+archive/ubuntu/notepadqq might be helpful although it is possible they might be going it via the snap way. Also Debian used to use alioth for staging, now it has moved to using salsa.debian.org (A gitlab instance.) While I don't know or do any packaging, I would gladly test out if you make any packages. I do hope you succeed in the endevour and we have a new editor in our mix. As shared I'll help in whatever little way I can. -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com EB80 462B 08E1 A0DE A73A 2C2F 9F3D C7A4 E1C4 D2D8
