Some years passed and situation changed again... Although LizardFS is still
ahead of MooseFS in terms of features (EC and XOR chunks; master/slave fail-
over), it is quickly becoming obsolete with upstream development stalled
without progress for a while... LizardFS is affected by upstream bugs with
little hope for fixing and naturally community is moving back to MooseFS.

With loyal community MooseFS is doing well and the project is stronger than
ever. MooseFS is actively developed, bug reports are being answered, etc.
Just as Jakub was saying, MooseFS is appreciated for its performance and
stability. Sadly LizardFS is quickly losing trust in those areas...

To predict the behavior of ordinary people in advance, you only have to
assume that they will always try to escape a disagreeable situation with
the smallest possible expenditure of intelligence.
