I finished with a fair bit of packaging clean up and officially adopted rsnapshot. I'd be happy to co-maintain this package. The packaging itself seems to be pretty straight-forward and easy to maintain. I talked a little bit with upstream and they seemed very friendly and easy to work with. Unfortunately, they're definitely lacking some manpower, which is why rsnapshot hasn't seen a new release in a long time.
