Monocypher is a small (1800 lines of C), easy to use cryptography library. It's in the family of NaCl-ish libraries like NaCl itself and libsodium. Unlike libsodium, it's much smaller and uses no assembly, and unlike NaCl, it's also possible to compile it as a dynamic library. The project has over 275 stars on GitHub.
