The original Ricochet has become obsolete due to the deprecation of V2 Onion services - Ricochet Refresh resolves this by bringing Ricochet to the new age of V3 Onion services, and implementing new functionality such as file transfers. NB: The original Ricochet project (see: https://github.com/ricochet-im/ricochet) has been abandoned, with the last commit being 3.5 years ago. As of the middle of last year, the original Ricochet no longer works, as V2 onions have been disabled in all Tor clients/nodes. Source for Ricochet Refresh can be found at https://github.com/blueprint-freespeech/ricochet-refresh Debian packaging has already been set up for the project (see the debian/ folder in the source), lintian tests pass and the app appears to install successfully, - and this will be maintained by the team working on Ricochet Refresh at Blueprint (and of course, contributions are always welcome).
