This is now uploaded. Some notes in relation to my upload to NEW: "Is it worth including it in the archive?" from NEWChecklist: there's quite a complex software stack involved here. This package is only part of it. Further down the stack there's hexagon-dsp-binaries (Debian ITP bug 1101838) and above we have packages like tensorflow. Ultimately this will allow such software to take advantage of Qualcomm hardware acceleration. This package is part of the story as we work our way towards that goal.
The lintian warning about missing manpage is correct, would be a valid bug against the package in Debian, and is tracked upstream at https://github.com/qualcomm/fastrpc/issues/229 I've been working with upstream on integrated CI with other related Qualcomm-specific upstreams against Debian, such that test failures against distribution packaging tests can be identified and addressed before upstream release. Since upstream uses GitHub, this is driven by GitHub Actions, so we need to maintain some amount of packaging in GitHub. So that's where we're maintaining the packaging right now, and why it isn't (yet) in Salsa. We intend to also maintain the packaging in Salsa to better integrate with normal Debian development, together with moving to team maintainership in Debian. This involves some arrangements around workflows and discussions with appropriate existing teams and isn't resolved yet. In the meantime, to make progress without everything waiting on everything else, I'm uploading fastrpc to Debian now, as a sole maintainer, with Vcs-* pointing to the GitHub VCS packaging location.
