Hi Michael,

Has something changed since what we reviewed? What I was looking at
should have had the patches applied, and the LICENSE file I saw was not
the AFL (as I noted) but the setup.cfg still said that.

Here's the details from what I reviewed:

===================================================================
python-galaxy-util_25.1.1-1$ head .pc/upstream-relicensed/setup.cfg
[metadata]
author = Galaxy Project and Community
author_email = [email protected]
classifiers =
        Development Status :: 5 - Production/Stable
        Environment :: Console
        Intended Audience :: Developers
        License :: OSI Approved :: Academic Free License (AFL)
        Natural Language :: English
        Operating System :: POSIX
...
===================================================================

So perhaps something is not right with the patch?

the ".pc" folder is created by the patch utility, and it contains the unpatched
versions of files.

$ quilt push upstream-relicensed
$ head setup.cfg
[metadata]
author = Galaxy Project and Community
author_email = [email protected]
classifiers =
        Development Status :: 5 - Production/Stable
        Environment :: Console
        Intended Audience :: Developers
        License :: OSI Approved :: MIT License
        Natural Language :: English
        Operating System :: POSIX

Thanks,

Hello Michael,

Hello!

this packages is rejected.

You can find the reasons in the public notes.

You can upload it again if upstream fixed it.

Please note the patch in the package (cherry-picked from upstream)
which fixes the license mismatch:
https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/python-galaxy-util/-/blob/master/debian/patches/upstream-relicensed?ref_type=heads

and as per the note in d/copyright, upstream recently finished their
relicensing to expat-only (previously it was a mixture of AFL +
expat)
