Hi Andrew, Please, let me add the following information and let me know if could reopen this ITP then. After packaging pdata, I could confirm that is a standalone Go module (go.opentelemetry.io/collector/pdata) with its own go.mod and release tags. At v1.38.0 it has zero internal collector dependencies , its only dependencies all already in Debian. This would unblock golang-opentelemetry-auto. If the full collector is eventually packaged, I'm happy to coordinate with its maintainer — whether that means the collector depends on this package or we find a better arrangement.
