I see. Personally, I would try patching this limit out to see what happens, but I agree such approach is hackish.

BTW zrythm has several deps which are not in Debian. I'll start working on it. 
If I can't  packing it, I'll leave it to someone else.

Sure. You can file RFP bugs for missing dependencies marking them as blocking zrythm ITP.
