It can sign messages up to 4 kByte. It is, for instance, used by the tkey-pq-sign-cli for doing digital signatures of files. The tkey-pq-device-signer is using signing by the use of external MU instead of computing it on the tkey to make it possible to sign larger files, use less RAM and to optimize the signing speed while still using ML-DSA-pure instead of Hash-ML-DSA for security considerations. The signing is done with the default "hedged"-signing over "deterministic"-signing and implements a good DRBG to achieve this. This is similar to tillitis-tkey-device-signer which corresponds to https://github.com/tillitis/tkey-device-signer and Ed25519. /Simon
