It integrates the remote scanner with habluetooth, allowing applications such as Home Assistant to discover nearby Bluetooth devices through the proxy. . The SLZB proxy forwards advertisements to the host over UDP, where pysmlight handles the wire protocol and this library manages the scanner connection and advertisement delivery. The proxy is scan-only, so devices can be discovered but GATT connections are not supported. This library is a dependancy of Home Assistant, the Python smart home platform. I plan to maintain it as part of the Home Assistant team.
